We all have heard a phrase “Pen is mightier than the sword” at least once in our lifetime, and we all can agree to the fact that it should be taken figuratively rather than literary. History of pen represents writing, and through the art of writing, as we all know were born great revolutions that changed the entire civilization.

In a digital age like ours where many gadgets equipped with writing software seems to replace the pen completely, we interestingly find that pen has still managed to survive despite all the trivialities and cruelties imposed by digital technologies.

Pen also tells us the character of a personality, and therefore if we are considering to gift a set of a pen in a corporate environment, we must remarkably be careful of what we pick.

There are different types of pen available in the market varying from ball pens, roller pens, ink pens, antique pens to luxurious pens (all plated with gold and diamonds). We all are more or less aware of the purpose of a pen in a corporate environment as most of the task is performed by the computer or other digital gadgets. Though the role of the pen in the corporate sector has been limited only to signing a document manually, its relevance is still not rejected in an organizational field environment.

The nature of a corporate sector would decide the kind of pen that particular organization would need, for example, if you are supposed to corporate gift a pen to a newspaper or publishing house you must pick up comfortable ball pens. As these industries demand an immense amount of writing and editing work, a ball pen will not only comfort the editors but would also last longer.

Similarly, if you were supposed to gift a pen to top guns of your corporate sector, please avoid buying ball pens as they are cheap, and ink pens as they may leak. After all, you won't like it when your boss runs you over for spoiling his shirt that apparently had some sweet memories attached to it. So the wisest decision would be to give him an "antique pen" that would enhance the glamour of his office desk.

Whatever may be the occasion or whatever may be the working environment, the pen had dominated the gifting choice of an individual for centuries and shall dominate it for years yet to come. It doesn't matter how applicable would be the concept pen in nearby future, but it would surely fascinate its user for eternity because of its historical significance and the kind of impact it had on human civilization.
