Hastelloy c22 tube is a superalloy built on nickel and is flexible. This superalloy C22 Hastelloy Heat Exchanger Tube is usually used in environmentally involving very highly corrosive media.

Besides containing nickel, the Hastelloy C22 Decorative Tube has additions in both chromium & molybdenum as its base ingredient. When applied to the ASTM B622 Hastelloy DIN 2.4602 Tubing, help in corrosion resistance in different conditions these two components are.

Since they have a strong resistance to sulphuric acid & hydrochloric acid, for applications involving these acids, Hastelloy C22 Electropolish Tube is considered much better. That is why this alloy is particularly evident in the transport of both these acids compared to any other Hastelloy grades, such as alloy C276, alloy C4, and Monel 400 Tube.

Therefore, Hastelloy c22 tube suppliers are primarily chosen for very highly corrosive conditions such as Nitric Acid transport, etc. We suggest using the ASTM B626 Hastelloy C22 Welded Tubing in conditions where the ambient temperature will rise very high because the alloy has excellent resistance to oxidizing environments.

The ASTM B622 Alloy C22 Seamless Tubing, for example, has a strong resistance to wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acids or chloride ion oxidizing acids, including acids containing oxidizing agents.

A quick guide to the Hastelloy tubes

Hastelloy C22 Cold Rolled Coiled Tube has an extraordinary resistance to media reduction due to the presence of tungsten in its alloy. These upset conditions are seen very frequently in process streams. Using this Hastelloy Alloy C22 EFW Tube is proving beneficial in those multi-purpose plants where a regular occurrence of upset conditions is.

Central States Industrial (CSI) maintains in stock a full line of Hastelloy C-22 (UNS N06022) tubing and fittings, enabling a fast turnaround. Hastelloy C-22 possesses outstanding resistance to violent oxidizing aqueous media like wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or chlorine ion oxidizing acids.

Hastelloy C22 Tube is known by designation N06022 of the Standard Numbering System (UNS). It is an alloy based on nickel that includes heavy nickel (56%), chromium (22%), and molybdenum (13%). The material number Monel 400 Pipe, Inconel Alloy 22, VDM Alloy 22, and the alloy ATI 22TM come under the same UNS number.

C-22 is used in highly corrosive products with applications of high chloride and temperature such as buffer solutions, active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), fabric softeners, cleaning materials, and fish, soy, and chilli sauce.

C-22 is a perfect alternative if super austenitic stainless steels (AL-6XN, 904L, and 254 SMO) and stainless duplex steels (2205 and 2507) do not withstand extremely aggressive media. This is because it is an alloy of nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten with greater overall resistance to uniform and localized corrosion than any other alloy of Ni-Cr-Mo, such as Hastelloy C-276, C-4, and 625.

The ASME BPE standard recognizes this alloy, which defines multiple requirements in Section MM (Metallic Materials) and by U. S. Food and Medicines Administration (FDA).

1. Good management manufacturing

A best practice for most manufacturing environments is to use the correct sanitary equipment and materials to prevent corrosion.

2. NO MICROBIAL CONTAINS

No corrosion from the crevices and pitting, no liquid accretion.

Super Alloys offer a strong return on investment by-quality check and fixing and replacing corroded parts during maintenance time.
